4 arrested for diverting K2.6m Fisp fertiliser

Police in Lilongwe have arrested four men for being found with 200 bags of subsidized fertiliser, which was supposed to be delivered at an Admarc depot in the district. Lilongwe police spokesperson Kingsley Dandaula identified the four as Kefasi Mbalame,27,Kavala Mulli,28, Idrissa Makwinja, 25, and Richard Ngozo,28.
He said the vehicle registration number BL 1834 which was driven by Makwinja, left Kanengo loaded with 200 bags of Urea fertiliser to be delivered at Dickson Admarc.
he said the suspects diverted the vehicle to Ming`ong`o Trading Centre where they offloaded the 200 bags,valued at around MK2.6 million,into another vehicle, registration number LA 4698 which was driven by Ngozo.
