Malawi qualified for the quarter finals of the CECAFA 2012 cup after beating Zanzibar 2-0 through goals by Ndaziona Chatsalira and Chiukepo Msowoya early in the first half.
Malawi will now on 4th December meet Kenya who were the runners up in Group A.
Zanzibar who have four points had already qualified before the start of the match due to the earlier results of the matches played today where Sudan lost to Burundi 1-0.
