CSES says 2012/2013 national budget has failed to meet peoples expectations

Civil Society Education Coalition (CSES) says the 2012/2013 national budget has failed to meet peoples expectations in as far as addressing challenges in the education sector is concerned.
CSEC executive director Benedicto Kondowe made the observation during an interview with Joy Radio.
Kondowe said though the education sector is among the ministries that got more funds in the current national budget, it is clear that the sector is still facing various challenges that were supposed to be addressed by the budget.
He noted that despite having allocations to procure teaching and leaning materials, the education sector is still facing shortages of the materials.
Kondowe also mentioned challenges that the teachers rural allowance has faced as one of the most disappointing points to teachers.
