Hazel Mak, BarryOne, Blackjak invade Lilongwe

A horde of celebrated urban artists are set to paint Lilongwe City red under an all night party themed The Trendsetters’ party, at Chez Ntemba on Saturday.

Under Kutchira Entertainment, local urban artists BarryOne, Young K and Blackjak will come face to face with UK-based Hazel Mak in what is promised to be a night worth partying away.

Other local urban artists on the menu include Diktator, Thange and up and coming dancehall artist, Nesnes.

“This will be one of the biggest club shows in the year for it comprises of talented and well platformed artists in Malawi,” commented BarryOne in an interview.

BarryOne promised nothing but fireworks considering whole multitalented and composed the performers are.

Said BarryOne “We promise a great deal of a show for all these people are so exposed with live performances and do very well in appealing to the audiences, all these headliners have attended big events like Lake of stars and know what to do on stage”.

He said the Lilongwe Chez Ntemba’s show is one of the Trendsetters’ parties lined-up for this year with Blantyre being next on the menu after the weekend’s event. Currently BarryOne, Blakjak and Young Kay are working on their albums scheduled to come out later this year, and the Trendsetters’ shows will create a platform for the audience to sample out the contents.

BarryOne will be releasing his third album mid-year titled Foot Prints, which features singles like Automatic ft. Kalista, Ulendo ft. Armstrong and Kapilire ft. Maskal.

And a press statement from the Kutchira Entertainment says BarryOne’s third album will be launched under the label.

“We will not stop at aiming higher and giving out the best entertainment ever, we set to signing artists as there is so much talent and people need to experience it all apart from televisions and radios,” reads part of the statement made available to Nyasa Times.
