Musician Makawa battling for life after attack by robbers

Local musician Moses Makawa famous for his local touch songs and the collaboration he made with soldier Lucius Banda in his album, Life, the song Wadwalika, is battling for his life at a hospital in Lilongwe after he was attacked by thugs.

According to broadcaster Nicholas Mbonela of MIJ FM, Makawa was attacked by armed robbers in Lilongwe’s Area 25 on his way from training for the just finished Sand Festival.

The robbers took with them cash and phones from the celebrated musician on the local scene whose songs blare loudly from most traditional beer pubs.

Makawa’s attack comes at a time when the country is reeling from a security lapse.
