DIAMONDS GO TOP OF OG ISSA LEAGUE

The OG Issa Southern Region Netball League’s (SRNL) reached its pick on Thursday as Diamonds proved too strong registering  two wins in their two assignments against Gerald Tasaukadala and Aquaid  at Blantyre Youths Centre( BYC) to go top of the League.

Diamonds thrashed Gerald Tasaukadala 99-6 baskets in their early kick-off before demolishing Aquaid on the same venue with 135-15 baskets.

Diamonds Coach Griffin Zagalo Saenda after the matches said he was delighted with the team’s performance.

“I am proud of my team  for their performance and we will work hard because the battle is still on. The main focus now is on Saturday in our next game against MTL Queens”, he said.

  Diamonds who dominated in all matches featured the strongest side which comprises of Caroline Ngwira,Towera Vinkhumbo, Jessica Sanudi and Bridget Kumwenda. 

The victories means that Diamonds are now top of the OG Issa displacing complex Tigress, who had no game in Week.
