MSOSA ATTACKED

Barely few days after the grouping calling itself concerned Muslim petitioned Muslim Association of Malawi (MAM) to stop Muslim women from dancing from the ruling People’s Party rallies, reports reaching Face of Malawi indicates that PP provincial Chair for Eastern Region Samson Msosa has been attacked by angry mob.

According to the source who denied to be mentioned said the incident happened around 7 pm near the offices of the Islamic Information Bureau in the district.

coordinator for the Islamic Information Bureau in Mangochi Sheikh Jafali Katita  confirmed of the development by saying, Msosa was assaulted outside the Islamic bureau offices.

“Msosa who came drunk, asked one of the young men outside the bureau to show him where the bureau’s offices are but it seems the response he got from the young man did not please Msosa who slapped the young man. But onlookers descended on Msosa some of them hacked him with a iron steel in the head,” said sheikh Katita.

Katita said Msosa was immediately taken to the hospitals by police officers who rushed to the scene.

When approached for comment, Mangochi Police Spokesperson Rodrick Maida denied to comment and referred the matter to National police spokesperson.

Muslim in Malawi expressed discontent over  the continued use of Muslim women in the ruling PP where women changed  songs  of praising God to Praise the PP  leader.
