PP INVADE UDF STRONGHOLD

AS the battle for the high office in the forthcoming tripartite elections is becoming more and more intense, the ruling People’s Party(PP)  took the campaign trail to the eastern region the area which is believed to be the stronghold of United Democratic Front (UDF).

President Joyce Banda with her running mate Sosten Gwengwe held a rally at Nankumba  in Mangochi on Monday where  she told the gathering that her administration if voted into power  on May 20, will improve lives of farmers in the country by teaching them better methods  and provides agricultural equipments.

She further said that her government would continue with the Farm Input Subsidy Programme (FISP).

Banda also pledged to improve the health and education sector by building school and health centers in the area.

Meanwhile President Banda called upon people in the area to desist from any act of violence during the campaign period.
