KACHALI SAYS GOODBYE TO PP

The uncertainty surrounding the future of Malawi’s Vice President Khumbo Kachali with the ruling People’s Party (PP) has finally come to rest as he has finally resigned from the party.

Reports reaching Face of Malawi indicate that Kachali verbally communicated to the party about his decision to quit the party.

Inside sources said on Wednesday Kachali met President Joyce Banda  at Kamuzu palace in Lilongwe where it is said he made his point clear that he is no longer a PP member.

When approach for comment, State House Press Secretary Steve Nhane confirmed of the meeting but denied to comment on the matter saying it was confidential.

Kachali started shunning PP just after it was revealed that he has been dropped as Presidential running mate in the forthcoming tripartite election.

The state Vice President also was quoted in one of the daily papers that Banda’s choice of Gwendwe is ‘Vote of no confidence’.

Meanwhile an confirmed reports indicate that Kachali is making a return to Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).
