MUSLIM SUPREME COUNCIL OF MALAWI URGES POLITICAL PARTIES TO ACCEPT THE RESULTS

Muslim Supreme Council of Malawi (MSCM) has called upon all Malawians and Political Parties in the country  to forget their political differences and accept the outcome of the recent  held tripartite election.

Mulli Bwanali MSCM publicity Secretary said this in an interview with one of the  local media in the country.

In his speech, Bwanali cautioned political parties who are trying to interfere with the duties of Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) by bringing all source of issues to disturb the electoral process, saying it’s not good for the country.

The grouping has also urged Malawians to remain calm as the await the release of the results.

The ruling People’s Party (PP) and United Democratic Front (UDF) have jointly disputed the credibility of the election and accused Democratic Progressive Party (DPP)  of rigging.
