Nigeria’s hottest artist on the roll David Adedeji Adeleke better known by his stage name Davido has hinted signs of touring Malawi before the year ends.
Speaking in an exclusive interview after the launch of Multichoice Africa’s Africa Rising Programme, Davido said Malawi is one of the countries his planning to visit in the year 2014.
“We have been in talks with an agency on a possible tour of the country, and what we are waiting for is confirmation and the dates,” he said.
The artist also said that he is overwhelmed with the number of invitations and kind of support that he gets from other countries Malawi included. “This shows the kind of support I enjoy and that it’s something worth noting in my career.”
His manager Kamal Ajiboye also confirmed on an impending visit to Malawi. He further exclaimed “the agency we are talking to have gave us a date, but unfortunately we are booked for another show. The thing is we have a tight schedule because there are a lot of countries inviting us for shows.”
“Therefore I cannot promise the dates of our tour but definitely it will be in this year that we will visit Malawi. We are happy with the fact that there are people that side who appreciate what Davido does,” explained Ajiboye.
