The newly elected President Professor Peter Author Mutharika has said he is ready to turn around the struggling economy of Malawi to the better.
Mutharika who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) President said this at Kamuzu Stadium during his Inauguration ceremony.
“I am ready to turn around the economy of this country and for this to be done there is need for all stakeholders in the country to join hands with me.
“I also urged the other 11 Presidential hopefuls who wrestled with me on May 20 to come forward and help me in rebuilding this country”, said Professor Mutharika.
Mutharika further vowed to continue with with his late brother Bingu Wa Mutharika of zero-tolerance to corruption.
