MUKHITO TO SERVE AT STATE HOUSE

As Malawians are keenly waiting what the new government will do to turn the tables of the country’s economy which is in verge of collapse  as described by economic analyst , hiring and firing of some top officials in government seems to be on the centre stage.

Reports reaching Face of Malawi Indicate that President Peter Author Peter Mutharika has appointed Former Inspector General (IG)of Police, Peter Mukhito as Director General of State residence, replacing Ben Phiri.

His appointment comes barely four days after the appointment of Nicholas Dausi and the other two.

Mukhito came famous during the era of the late Bingu Wa Mutharika as he was described as the “finest Inspector General of Police” Malawi has ever had.

But Mukhito was fired from his position when the People’s Party regime came to power in 2012 after the death of Mutharika.

Meanwhile Mukhito has confirmed of the appointed and he has so far started discharging his duties.
