GOVT TO FUND CHE NKOPE MEDICAL TRIP TO SOUTH AFRICA

Government through Ministry of Information, Tourism and Civic Education has offered to help Malawi Institute of Journalism (MIJ) FM comic-maker, DJ Nicholas Mbonela to South Africa to access Medical treatment.

Mbonela who was diagnosed with cardiogenic shock-a condition where the heart cannot pump enough blood as the body requires, is currently admitted at Blantyre Adventist Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Mbonela also known as Che Nkope, needs about K7 million for treatment and travel expenses in South Africa.

Director of Information Gerald Viola confirmed the ministry “ will fund the trip.”

This is the second time for Mbonela to be hospitalized with same problem.
