Residents living in Mpunga location in Zomba are living in perpetual fear of their lives as Hyenas have gone on rampage terrorizing peoples livestock.
Reports gathered by FaceofMalawi indicate that the Hyena have already claimed lives of 6 dogs and 2 goats.
Eastern Region Police spokesperson, Thomeck Nyaude confirmed of the development in an interview with a local media house in the country [Capital FM].
“It is true that hyenas have terrorized mpunga location in the area of senior chief Chikowi just a kilometer drive from Zomba central” he said.
Zomba City Council Chief Executive Officer Ali Phiri also confirmed of the development and he said the council is doing everything possible to safeguard peoples’ lives.
Meanwhile no human being has been attacked so far.
