NO STUDENT FROM NOTHERN REGION SELECTED TO NKHATABAY SECONDARY SCHOOL

Despite assurance from President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika that he will abolish Quota system of selecting students in public Secondary schools and colleges in the country, it has been revealed that no student from Northern Region has been selected to Nkhata Bay Secondary School.

The development has left Livingstonia Synod of the Church of Central African Presbyterian (CCAP) wondering.

“School in the North with only students selected from South & Central regions#notoquotas #Malawi #Equality4All ,” reads the tweet t by @csplivingstonia.

Reports from deferent social networks indicate that out 53 students selected at the School none is from the region.

The development comes amid calls from the region advocating for federal system of government.
