THREE ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO ATUPELE’s INVASION

Reports reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that three people have been nabbed in Lilongwe in connection with recent robbery at Minister of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining Atupele Muluzi’s house.

Thugs last Friday broke into his house through a hole they drilled in the perimeter fence in the backyard and made their way into the house.

According to the Police, the armed robbers stole cash amounting to MK 30,000 and two cell phones.
Lilongwe Police Spokesperson Kingsley Dandaula confirmed of the arrest confirmed of the arrest in an interview with one of the privately owned radio [ZBS].

Dandaula failed to disclose the names of the suspects, saying doing so will compromise Police investigations.

The suspects will appear in court soon.

Despite assurance from President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika that he will loot out crime in the country, nothing seems to be done on the ground as robbery cases are on the rise.
