Government has announced that it is planning on introducing feeding programs in every primary school in the country.

Making the remarks was Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Technology Vincent Ghambi during a recent tour organized by Foundation for Irrigation and Sustainable Development (FISD).

The tour was organized on order to appreciate the initiatives on school feeding programs that the organization is implementing in some schools in Dowa and Lilongwe.

The projects are being funded by European Union and Japanese Tobacco Institution.

On the other hand Director of Foundation for Irrigation and Sustainable Development (FISD) Program, Kondwani Nanchukwa said the program has increased the number of learners in schools.
