As relief aid continue to trickle in for those people who have been heavily affected by the devastating floods, Shoprite store has also joined the wagon to assist the affected families.
The South African based chain store is set to assist the flood victims in Karonga this coming Wednesday February 4.
FaceofMalawi speaking stores branch Manager for Mzuzu, Atusaye Nyondo in an interview said the company was shaken with the flood situation in the district and as such it could not just sit idle.
“We have received overwhelming support from the general public towards assisting the flood victims in the country. From the time we placed Donate to Flood Victims trolleys in our shops the response has been positive” said Nyondo.
Apart from assisting flood victims in Karonga the company through its corporate social responsibility policy also donated to flood victims in the Lower Shire particularly Chikwawa.
