With the introduction of the new curriculum which has just commenced The Reserve Bank of Malawi has announced that it is in communication with the Ministry of Education Science and Technology to try and introduce Financial Education in Secondary School curriculum this year.

The Director of Microfinance and Capital Markets Supervision at Reserve Bank of Malawi Hastings Mzoma made the remarks in Blantyre during the start of the Global Money Week when Students from Ndirande Hill Secondary School toured the RBM offices.

Mzoma said the Global Money week was important to students since a majority of them were not conversant with money issues.
