The United States (USA) government has once revealed its plans for Malawi as it recently stated that it is planning on investing in different sectors of the country.
According to new United States (USA) Ambassador to Malawi, Virgin Palmer who was presenting her letters of credence to President Arthur Peter Mutharika on Friday, at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe, revealed that USA and Malawi have very strong ties that date back to the 60’s, which she described as fruitful years.
“My Government and the Malawian government have come a long way and with the presentation of my papers symbolizes more support and good fruit years ahead. This time around with more interest in trade and investment,” She said.
According to the Ambassador her Government has also pledged continued support in public sector reform, health, education and governance.
Virginia Palmer arrived in the country on January 27, 2015 to assume her responsibilities replacing Jeanine Jackson who finished her term last year.
