Minister of Finance and Economic Development Goodall Gondwe is this Friday scheduled to present the 2015/16 national budget at the National Assembly in the capital Lilongwe.
Gondwe confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying the 2015/16 national budget has jumped from about MK800 billion to MK900 billion.
During the pre-budget consultation held ia all three regions of Malawi, Gondwe said the 2015/16 national budget will be difficult for Members of Parliament to understand it.
Gondwe also disclosed that government will continue with Farm Input Subsidy Programme (FISP) despite many people trashing it as unproductive.
Meanwhile Malawians expected the 2015/16 national budget to be pro-poor considering the challenges experienced in the ending government financial year.
