The Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB) on Tuesday granted candidates sitting for Junior Certificate of Education-JCE examinations a two-day grace period to resolve any queries regarding Identity Cards.

On its face book page, the Board”s Public Relations Officer Simeon Maganga said some registered candidates were yet to acquire the IDs.

As such, Maganga said MANEB was granting them two days to write the board on the matter.

“At the expiry of the grace period, no candidate will be allowed to continue writing the examination without an ID,” said Maganga.

He then urged various schools administering the examinations to contact the Board whenever queries regarding the examination arise.

At least 170,000 students are sitting for this year”s examinations. The exams started Tuesday morning, May 26 are writing ends on Friday, June 5.
