South African based Malawian Pastor, Hastings Salanje has reversed his earlier decision to offer R10,000 (K400,000) to any person in Malawi who will find a Mercedes s500, saying he will offer the money to any place that Malawians can choose.
The self-styled super rich pastor hit Facebook by storm, claiming that God has embarrassed him with blessings beyond appreciation.
Salanje went further, challenging Malawians who feel that they are rich to produce or anyone in the country to find a Mercedes s500 and he will be given MK400, 000 cash but no Malawian came on the open.
“I want you to find me 3 cars similar to my one car, that Mercedes Benz S500 or 600 Blue efficiency 2012 to 2015 face lift, and I will reward you with R5000 (K200,000). If you get one I will give you R2500, the car must be in Malawi and with a Malawian number plate, whether belongs to the government I don”t mind.
“If you do that then I will know that your claim is right and I will stop testifying. But if you don”t then you are in trouble because I have just testified 20% of what God has done in the past 12months, you better unfriend me,” said Salanje
As a result of the development, many Malawians commenting on his post laughed off the pastor, saying the behavior demonstrated by him is not befitting him as man of GOD.
In a twist of events, Salanje as changed his mind on the move, saying he will donate that money to any place of Malawians choice.
“I would like to donate the R10,000 K400,000 to any place of your choice, this is the money which i promised to give to the people who could find me a Mercedes s500. I would like to donate it to the hospital, prison , orphanage or to 20 people on this page who really need it.
“Please suggest by putting your comments and let me know how i can make it available to the suggested people or place. The money is available now in cash and can be delivered today. It”s a small amount of money but it can make a difference some where. Your input is highly appreciated,” reads in part the statement posted on his officials Facebook page.
