TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR ROBBING THEIR BOSS ITEMS WORTH MK3 MILLION

Two People are in Police custody in Balaka for allegedly invading the house of their boss in Blantyre, stealing assorted items worth about K3 million.

Balaka Police Sub Inspector Alick Nagumuli confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the Press and identified the suspects as Elijah Wyson, 23 and Yusufu Issah 23.

According Nagumuli, the suspects were arrested at Chingeni road block after they were found with assorted electronics in a minibus which was coming from Blantyre heading to Balaka.

“The suspects were found in with items like JVC 3 CD Changer radio, one Samsung plasma screen, Logic microwave, 3 component technic and digital camera,” he said.

He said when the suspects were asked to produce the receipts, the suspects failed, saying they forgot the receipts because they were just given the goods by their brother who was in Mozambique.

“Upon calling one of the numbers which was written at one of the items it was when it was discovered that the two stole the goods from their boss who was at funeral,” he said.

Wyson hails from Zalimu village, Traditional Authority Nsamala in the district while Issa hails from Sayenda village, Traditional Authority Chitera in Chiradzulu district.
