‘I KNOW THOSE PEOPLE ATTACKING THE PRESIDENT USING ZIGOBA’-GERALD VIOLA

Presidential Press Officer Gerald Viola has said that he knows all the critics that attack President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika using Zigoba, saying some work at the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC).

The development comes barely hours after news block out that President Mutharika has dragged to Court one of his critics Allan Ntata, accusing him of defamation over a story carried by Nyasa Times implicating Mutharika in the MK92 billion cashgate scandal.

As this was not enough, President Mutharika on Tuesday described his critics as disgruntled individuals who have chosen to make a career out of slander by cooking up stories aimed at tarnishing his emerged and he pointed out Ntata as one of them.

In a statement circulating on the social media which FaceofMalawi have in possession, Viola has singled out five critics of Mutharika who often use Zigoba in attacking the President and one of them being Patseni Mauka.

“ON RECORD HERE: I have 5 good men and ONE of which is employed by OPC who are busy insulting APM and Dr. Ben Phiri using the name PATASENI MAUKA. I know the names but they have the right to insult APM. Are we serious and yet they claim to be DPP?

Meanwhile Mauka has challenged Viola to come out of his cocoon and made public the names of Mutharika’s critic.
