A 4-year old girl is reported dead in Mzuzu after a truck hit the house where the girl was in, injuring two others in the process.
Northern Region Police Publicist Maurice Chapola confirmed of the development in an interview with the press, saying the accident happened around 3am on Thursday at Gesha Market in Mzuzu City.
According to Chapola, an ERF truck registration number MZ 2090 that was en route from Mzimba to Mzuzu stopped at the area’s market to drop off unauthorized passengers when it suddenly got into motion.
“While the driver was outside the vehicle, it rolled into motion all of a sudden and slammed into a house along the M1 Road, killing the girl in the process,” he said.
Meanwhile Police have launched a manhunt for the driver.
