Man updates his PC to Windows 10 … only for his wife to find his entire PORN collection transformed into a slideshow on repeat

Within hours of its launch on July 29, experts warned of security problems with Microsoft’s new operating system, Windows 10.

But one user has had a more embarrassing problem after installing the new software – the update automatically made his porn collection into a slideshow and used it as a screensaver.

And to make matters worse, the malfunction was discovered by his wife, who was greeted by the explicit images first thing in the morning.

The story of the unfortunate incident was posted on Reddit by user FalloutBoS, who told the story so others would not repeat the fatal mistake.

It appears that the problem arose as a result of the explicit images being saved into the ‘My Pictures’ folder, which the software draws on when it automatically builds slideshows.

‘Loaded up WIN 10 last night and left it on to do its thing,’ the user wrote.

‘Woke up to wife asking why I set it to rotate all my porn images right on the desk top view.’

The incident seems to have landed the man in trouble with his wife, who was seemingly unaware of his porn collection.

But despite the nasty surprise, the user still seems to have no idea how to deactivate the feature, so has abandoned the computer instead.

‘I have no idea how to shut that feature off and that computer is staying shut down until I do. Free windows and a free trip to the doghouse. Thanks Microsoft!’ he wrote.

Other users on the site offered advice, while others chose to point out the naivety of saving explicit images in an obvious place.

One user wrote: ‘I guess it assumes you will not save porn into the pictures folder.’

While another chimed in with: ‘Best post I’ve seen since launch yesterday.’

FalloutBoS gave users of the popular sharing site an update after his wife had forgiven him for the episode.

‘Don’t make my mistake,’ he wrote. ‘keep your private pictures out of My Pictures, no matter how deep you hide them in sub folders.

‘My wife is very happy I admitted my mistake on this sub. She said I took my medicine and she now finds it quite funny. Ain’t love grand?’

Windows 10, the biggest update Microsoft has made to its computer software, finally launched after a massive beta test programme.

The new software is the first to work across all Windows-powered devices, from smartphones to tablets and desktop computers, as well as Microsoft’s Xbox One games console.

The firm is allowing some customers who pre-registered to get access before others.

‘We have seen unprecedented demand for Windows 10, with reviews and customer feedback overwhelmingly positive around the globe.’

‘We are doing everything we can to upgrade the world to Windows 10 as quickly as possible over the coming days and weeks ahead. ‘

Microsoft is also introducing a new web browser – Edge – to replace Internet Explorer, while the firm’s voice assistant Cortana will also move to desktop computers for the first time.

The much-loved Start menu, which was removed in Windows 8 to much public outcry, has also made a return in the new software, as the US-firm looks to modernise and appeal to a new range of customers.
