MANGANYA RUBBISHES IZEKI’S DEATH RUMOURS

Well known comedian in the country Michael Usi, fondly known as Manganya has labeled those people spreading the news that comedian John Nyanga known by stage name as ‘Izeki’ is dead as ‘Satanists’.

On Wednesday the social media was a watched by reports that Izeki who is currently admitted at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in the commercial capital Blantyre is dead. The rumour spread like hot cakes on the social media with others sending condolence messages to Nyanga’s family.

The rumour was however cleared by his fellow comedian Eric Mabedi, popularly known as Jacob who told the press after visiting his friend at the hospital that he is not dead.

“He is alive and I had a few jokes with him. People must stop spreading such lies,” Mabedi was quoted as saying.

Concurring with Mabedi, Usi today told the press that he was happy to see his fellow comedian responding well to treatment.

Usi said it is unfortunate that other people are spreading the death rumours.

“Those people who have been spreading rumours that Izeki is dead are satanic,” said Manganya.

Izeki is currently working with Joy Radio as a presenter.
