Fierce fire on Monday night gutted down People’s Metro shop in Chilomoni Township in the commercial capital Blantyre destroying properties worth millions.
The fire is said to have started at around 10pm.
The development comes barely a week after another fire consumed the whole Kasungu Market in the capital Lilongwe.
According to information at hand, firefighters arrived at the scene in time but failed to put down the inferno.
Meanwhile the cause of the fire is yet to be established.
