FOUR PEOPLE ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTING TO EXHUME BONES OF AN ALBINO

Police in Kasungu have arrested four people for allegedly trespassing into a graveyard and attempting to exhume bones of an albino woman who died a long time ago.

Kasungu Police Deputy Spokesperson Idna Mzingwitsa confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the suspects as Peter Kamanga,26, Shenrick Kamanga 47 years old, Yohane Maliseni,18, and Yamikani Phiri,26.

According Mzingwitsa, the suspects invaded the graveyard after being promised MK10 million for the bones by unknown buyer in the area.

“The four were caught red-handed digging the grave by members of the community.

“When our officers visited the scene, they found the grave half dug. The four suspects are currently in custody,” said Mzingwitsa.

The suspects will appear in court soon to answer charges of Trespassing and Tampering in the Graveyard under Section 189 and 129 of the Penal Code.
