RADIOGRAPHER NETTED FOR ATTEMPTING TO RAPE A PATIENT IN MULANJE

Police in Mulanje on Wednesday arrested a radiographer at Mulanje District Hospital for allegedly attempting to rape a pregnant woman he was examining.

Mulanje police spokesperson James Kadadzera confirmed of the development in an interview with the Press and identified the suspect as Kenneth Nkonongo aged 28.

According to Kadadzera, the victim name (withheld) met her fate on Wednesday when she visited the hospital for medical examination.

While in the room waiting for examination it is reported that the suspect told the victim to remove all her clothes and lie on the bed which she did.

“The suspect then started playing with the victims’ breast and private parts. This did not go down well with the victim who jumped out of the bed and reported the whole ordeal to her husband,” said Kadadzela.

The matter was reported to police who then arrested Nkonongo.

Nkonongo hails from Benjamin Village, Traditional Authority Kilupula in Karonga District.
