‘NO ONE IS FIRED’-MA BLACKS

Malawi’s celebrated reggae group Black Missionaries has trashed rumours hovering on the social media that the group has fired two of its members, drummer and lead guitarist Paul and Takudziwani Chokani respectively.

Speaking in an interview with one of the local daily papers in the country (Daily Times), Anjiru Fumulani, the group leader and lead vocalist said the rumours are untrue.

Fumulani said there is no squabbles in the group as other media outlets are alleging.

“I don’t know where people get all these stories, there are no cracks in Black Missionaries, we are a family and this is a mission. We are on a break and I have not even talked to my brothers Paul and Takudziwani,” Fumulani was quoted as saying.

The firing rumor came live following the formation of Wailing Brothers started by the Chokani brothers who were long time confidantes of Evison Matafale – founder of the Black Missionaries band and cousin to the Fumulanis.

The Chokani brothers are currently preparing for the launch of the album titled Unfinished Project.

Meanwhile it is yet to be seen if really the rumor true or not as the Band is on break.
