GRACE CHINGA’s BURIAL SATURDAY AT HHI CEMETERY

Popular gospel musician Grace Chinga of ‘Ndizaulula’ hit song will be laid to rest on Saturday March 19, 2016 at Henry Henderson Institute (HHI) Cemetery in the commercial capital Blantyre.

Chinga, popularly known as known as Malawi’s Rebecca Malope died on Wednesday evening at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in the commercial capital Blantyre after a short illness.

According to a funeral ceremony sent to this publication, the body of Grace Chinga will be taken from College of Medicine (CoM) mortuary on Friday at 3pm to “MALINGA MOYO.” Chilobwe Road where the vigil is currently taking place.

“On Saturday 8am the body will be taken to “ROBINS PARK” where the funeral Ceremony will take place and then finally to “HHI Cemetery” her final resting place,” wrote Thoko Katimba.

Commenting on the death, United Democratic Front (UDF) Spokesperson Ken Ndanga said he is deeply shocked with the untimely death of Chinga.

“I can not say or competently write anything wiser than the many touching tributes that I have read in the social media on the death of one local talent, a rare gem of the female species in the gospel music industry, Grace Chinga.

“I have only watched her perform once during the launch of one of her Albums at the then French Cultural Centre in Blantyre.
She was in a class of her own when it comes to dishing out gospel vibes that touch the body and the soul,” wrote Ndanga on his official facebook page.

On his part, opposition People’s Party (PP) spokesperson Ken Msonda said it is unbelievable and shocking to hear the untimely passing on of late Grace Chinga.

“Death is so cruel; why Grace Chinga, why Lord!
Malawi has lost a rare talent in gospel ministry.

“Some situations leave us with a lot of questions without answers but we find solace in the word of God as it is recorded in the Holy Bible, the book of John 3 vs 16; Hymns of Malawi # 158 and Chitsitsimutso hymn # 18,” wrote Msonda.

FaceofMalawi joins the nation in condoling the bereaved family over the untimely death of Grace Chinga.
