Armed robbers invade OIBM in LL: Steal cash amounting to MK15 million

Information reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that armed robbers have stolen money amounting to MK15 million from Opportunity International Bank of Malawi’s Area 25 branch.

The incident happened today morning.

Kanengo Police Spokesperson Ester Mkwanda confirmed of the development in an interview with one of the privately owned radio in the country.

She said currently police are hunting for the suspected thieves.

The incident comes barely days after armed thugs also invaded the house of Former President Dr. Joyce Banda in Nkhata-Bay.

The armed thugs went away with home theater and other items.

Meanwhile the guard in is in Police custody for allegedly being behind the robbery.
