‘All is set for PSLCE examinations scheduled for Wednesday’-MANEB

Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB) has said all is set for this year’s Primary School Leaving Certificate (PSLCE) examinations scheduled to start on Wednesday, May 11 2016 across the country.

MANEB Public Relations Officer Simeon Maganga confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Maganga said the board has sent all Identity Cards (IDs) and examination papers to all schools and centres across the country.

He said the board has paid all the allowances to security personnel, Supervisors and Invigilators.

Maganga then appealed to all registered candidates to go and write the examinations in their respective centres.

“Government spends a lot of money in formulating, registering and administering the examinations across the country so if a candidate fails to write his/her examinations it means a loss to government.

“The said money could have been used in buying drugs in public hospitals across the country,” said Maganga.

Maganga also warned all candidates to desist from cheating, saying if anyone is found will be arrested immediately.

A total of 270,646 registered candidates are expected to sit for this year’s PSLCE examinations which will run for three days.
