Information reaching FaceofMalawi indicates that four Malawians have been killed in Mozambique while three others are battling for their lives at Chimioi Hospital.
Mwanza immigration offices have confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to officials at Mwanza Immigration, the deceased were among 24 Malawians travelling in a lorry to South Africa using a route to Mozambique.
The officials said 24 Malawians were attacked by Mozambican soldiers at Catandica, killing four on the spot while three others are admitted at Chimioi Hospital and are being treated of gun wounds.
Meanwhile 17 others have been repatriated to Malawi through Mwanza border post.
