Man arrested for defiling two girls in Ntchisi

Police in Ntchisi have arrested 32-year-old Godfrey Leonard on allegation that he defiled two children aged 3 years and 5 years respectively.

Ntchisi police public relations officer Gladson M’bumpha said Leonard is suspected to have committed the crime on May 12 2016 at Dete Village in the area of Traditional Authority Chilooko in Ntchisi.

Leonard, who pretended to be playing with the children, was discovered by a passerby who noticed that Leonard’s zipper was open. Both victims were referred to Malomo Health Centre for examination where it was confirmed that they were indeed defiled.

The suspect has since been charged with the offence of defilement and will appear in court soon.
