Two police officers arrested for stealing 13 crates of Carlsberg beer

Police have arrested two police officers in Ndirande for allegedly conniving with a security guard at Southern Bottles, to steal 13 crates of beer, from Carlsberg Malawi Limited.

Blantyre Police Station spokesperson, Elizabeth Divala confirmed the development and identified the two officers as Clement Mkwanda and Reuben Mwale while the security guard, who is also in police custody, was identified as Petulo Venesio.

The two officers were on private duties at SOBO and while guarding there they conspired with the guard and stole the said crates.

Meanwhile, the Police Criminal Investigation department CID has managed to recover the crates at Ndirande main market.
