Drivers of the burnt fuel tankers in Mozambique arrive home

Two of the three drivers of the Malawian fuel tankers burnt to ashes in Mozambique by militia group arrived in the country through Mwanza border.

On Saturday, three fuel tankers belonging to Petroda Company were burnt to ashes at a place called Nyasakara in Mozambique just days after another tanker also faced the same.

The two drivers have been identified as Reston Tchale and Martin Kaipa while the whereabouts of the other driver is not known.

Mwanza Immigration Spokesperson Pasqually Zulu confirmed of the arrival of the two drivers in an interview with the press.

He said the drivers have passed through a horrible experience in Mozambique.

Recently the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a warning, saying Malawians should not use a route to Mozambique when making International travel.
