Reports FaceofMalawi from Zomba indicate that Chancellor College students are on strike.
The development comes barely a week after the Univessity Council rebuffed the students’ plea to have the fees revised downward, saying the arguments by the students was baseless.
The students are protesting the fee hike which the University of Malawi Council effected a month ago.
The strike is aimed at forcing university authorities to rescind the decision to raise school fees.
Classes have since been suspended at the college.
