The congregation of Kagwa Catholic Parish and St Monica in Lilongwe join hands to chase new priest who supposed to lead mass on Sunday at the station that led to interruption of players.
According local radio, the issue is connection with recent transfer of two Indian priests at Kagwa Parish to Muwa Catholic Parish in Dedza over the month after they had some disagreements with church members.
Speaking in an interview, St Monica Church Council secretary Francis Kachiza Chigule, has confirmed that they will continue to chase any new priest until the Lilongwe Diocese should give them a good explanation why they transferred their priests at Kagwa.
“These Indian priests have been with us over 20 years and Diocese have just sent them away like that without any good explanation. We continue to chase any new priest until they give us good reason,” he said.
Lilongwe Diocese is yet to comment on this development
