Two people killed in road accident in Dedza

Information reaching faceofMalawi indicates that two people (cyclist and Pedestrian) have died after being hit by a vehicle.

Dedza Deputy Police spokesperson Cassim Manda has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Manda said the accident happened on Wednesday at around 1pm at Kalinyeke area along Dedza/Lilongwe M1 road.

According to Manda, the vehicle registration number CZ 5060 driven by Onesimo Mkandawire was coming from Lilongwe going to Ntcheu.

He said after hitting the two victims, the driver lost control of the vehicle and went further to hit and demolish a nearby kitchen and had to grind to a halt after hitting a house.

Meanwhile four passangers have escaped with minor injuries.
