Lucius remarks on Chilima raise questions on social media

As debate continues over the health condition of President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika who is currently in unknown place in United States of America, well-known musician cum-politician Lucius Banda’s remarks against the country Vice President Saulos chilima has raised lots of questions on Facebook.

Writing on his official Facebook page, Banda who is also United Democratic Front (UDF) Member of Parliament for Balaka North described Chilima as a blessed man.

Banda described Chilima as clever, intelligent, smart and a Gold fearing man.

“Koma nthawi zina tidziyamikirana… mzathuyu ambuye adamdalitsa Ma looks, Brains, kuchenjera, kupemphera, kutchena…….jelasi down,” reads in part Banda’s text with Chilima’s text.

The statement has attracted mixed reactions from people on the social media especially on Facebook with others questioning Banda on what is trying to commutate to the nation following rumours that President Mutharika is critically ill in USA.

Commented Humphrey Sakala: “I can see you are insinuating somebody big man.I dreamt that Mr Chilima is the president of Malawi kkkk.”

Another comment by Lameck Yassin reads: “Sono ukufanizira ndindani? Bwinotubwino amangwetu kkkkk.”

Farooq Alubi Noah wrote: “By Monday he will be the President of Malawi Republic.”

Banda’s post has seen over 22 thousand likes, 70 shares and over 600 comments in just seven hours.

Meanwhile Malawians are eagerly waiting for the arrival of the President this coming Sunday.
