Wandale remembers God after being handed 18 months suspended sentence

People’s Land organization (PLO) leader Vincent Wandale has described his 18 months suspended sentence handed to him by Blantyre Magistrate Court over land grabbing case in Thyola as a sign of being victorious.

Wandale was convicted of conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor, unauthorized use of land and criminal trespass last week by senior resident magistrate Thokozani Soko.

Delivering his ruling on Tuesday morning, Magistrate Soko ordered Wandale to pay a surety of MK 100, 000 and not commit any crime in the said 18 months.

Writing on his official facebook page after his release, Wandale praised God and thanked everyone who sided with him throughout the case.

“Thank you lord for being merciful to me and answering my prayer. Im released on 100 thousand surety. Praise the lord. Thank you all who supported me in prayer,” wrote Wandale.

His release also pleased his followers with others accusing government of using intimidation in the land grabbing issue.

Gidion Chisi wrote: “I knew you would be released. These brainwashed black colonialists did not have valid grounds to imprison you. Their actions were meant to impress, appease the oppressors at the expence of destruction of their fellow black pple and their destiny.”

Another concerned Malawian identified as Elias Sochera: “You are and will always be a Hero. You fought for what you believe in and what most of us believe in but we did not have the courage like. I salute you!

Meanwhile it is not known as to whether Wandale will go on with his earlier stand of taken the issue to International Criminal Court (ICC)
