Govt warns of an imminent outbreak of the deadly disease ‘Bird Flu’

The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Water Development in liaison with the Ministry of Health is warning the public about an imminent outbreak of the deadly disease Bird Flu.

This has been disclosed in a press statement signed by Secretary for Agriculture Erica Maganga and Chief of Health Services, Dr. Charles Mwansambo.

This follows a recent outbreak of Bird Flu in some parts of Africa, such as Cameroon, Egypt and Uganda that has killed thousands of wild birds as well as domestic poultry.
