Police in Zomba on Monday used teargas to disperse angry students from Zomba Catholic Secondary School who went on rampage broking the entry to the campus with burning tyres.
It is said that the management at the school fired some of the students because improper conduct.
The development did please some of the students at the school who retaliated by holding protest to express their anger.
It took the police intervention to calm down the situation by firing teargas at the angry students.
Meanwhile the school has been closed indefinitely.
