Dedza Woman to Answer Murder Charges For Love

Police in Dedza district are keeping in custody a suspect identified as Namakaiko Mawandiwe who stabbed a friend to death after she realized that they were going out with the same man.

The 38 year old suspect stabbed her friend whom police have identified as Nasidewo Songwe aged 22.

Police reports state that on that fateful day the victim approached the suspect at her house warning her to stop going out with the man Sindisani Rodrick aged 31.

While there, the suspect brought out a sharp knife that she used to stab her opponent on the chest.

Songwe died on the spot due to excessive loss of blood, hospital results confirmed.

The victim hailed from Chimphandu village as well as the suspect, in the area of Traditional Authority Kasumbu in Dedza.

She will soon appear in court to answer murder charges.
