Suspected thief rescued from angry mob after stealing 3 smartphones at Chimwankhunda Living Waters Church

A woman suspected to be a thief was on Sunday caught red handed at Chimwankhunda Living Waters Church in Blantyre with three stolen smartphones, faceofmalawi can reveal.

According to an eyewitness who rushed to the scene, the woman in her 20s is suspected to have stolen the phones to one of the church members as the service was in progress.

An eyewitness said that was apprehended by members of the protocol who received a complaint from one of the church members.

“A lady thief Caught red handed today in the Church at Chimwankhunda Living waters with 3 Smartphones atabisa some in the Bag and another in the Bra.

“Caught live by Members of Protocol,” wrote an eyewitness.

The suspect was later handed to the police.
