Steve Spesho breaks silence on Miracle’s stealing scandal

The son to late gospel artist Grace Chinga, Steve Spesho has come out of the cocoon to trash rumours hovering on the social media alleging that her sister Miracle was caught red handed stealing in a shop, saying the rumours are untrue.

Last week, the social media was awashed with reports that Best Female artist in the inaugural Nyasa Music Awards was caught shoplifting in one of the shops in the commercial capital Blantyre.

The reports alleged that Miracle was busted by security guards after becoming suspicious about her movement.

It is said that the award winner was left unpunished after pleading with security guards.

The rumours attracted debate on the social media with other questioning each other as to whether the news true or false.

Speaking in an interview with faceofmalawi through Whatsapp conversation, Steve Spesho quashed the allegations, saying the rumours are untrue aiming at tarnishing the image of her sister.

“It’s just one funny rumour made by people who hate miracle n maybe want to destroy Miracle’s reputation. But that did not drag us down in any way. Actually it just showed us that if people have time to make lies about miracle then miracle is not just a mare person.

“I think her real fans know the truth already,” he said

He added: “Think about it..

“Miracle receives k280, 000 per show.. Why should she steal something that costs less than k1, 000?”

Meanwhile debate continues on the issue.
